It's not about me, it's about you!

But when considering personal therapy you need to do a bit of research first and find someone who you feel comfortable with from onset.

I am Symantha, and I am passionate about helping people. Hypnotherapy is my joy and vocation and I will work my socks off for you!

My enthusiasm is all very well, but at this point, before we have worked together, you may be seeking additional reassurance of my ability to help you. Dry though they are, recognised qualifications and registrations are a useful gauge for you to ensure that the therapist you are considering has achieved the expertise to practice effectively and safely. Look at several therapists before deciding. Ask about qualifications. Ask if their work is overseen by professional supervision and affords membership of accredited industry bodies and that they personally commit to ongoing professional development and learning.

Mine is, and I do!

My commitment to ensuring I offer my clients a bespoke and professional service goes beyond my words. It is a requirement of registration with the professional bodies that I am a member of. It is mandatory that I am governed by and work within strict ethical and professional boundaries set to industry standard.  I offer my own unique style of therapy but it is always within strict governance of highest professional and ethical standards.

I am not a lone wolf.

I belong to a family of therapists all seeking to raise the profile, standards, and reputation of hypnotherapy. One that hopes to see the profession regulated in the not-too-distant future.

Do not be afraid to ask the therapist you are considering if they work under professional supervision, and to which professional memberships they belong, and what standards and professional frameworks they adhere to.

That said, qualifications  and registrations are not everything. They are indicators of the therapist’s serious commitment to the art and science of hypnotherapy and go some way to assuring professional standing.

What is of prime importance is that you feel comfortable with your therapist and you feel you can trust them.

And the only way you can test the water on that one, is to reach out and connect.

You don’t have to commit to booking a session to get a sense of who I am. Contact me and we can arrange a mutually convenient time to have an initial telephone conversation. Very informal, and totally confidential.

My Mission

To help as many people as I can in their pursuit of mental wellbeing and happiness. Whether informally through sharing knowledge and self-help information or more formally through a bespoke and dedicated therapeutic relationship.

Self-help can help you discover the break-throughs that you are seeking. It alone can enhance your life and help resolve any issues that prevent you from living life to its fullest. My web pages aim to provide a source of information and signposting for you and everyone interested in transformational work.

Formal therapy is that and much more. It provides an in-depth alliance where solutions are tailored and specific rather than generic. It is a premium service that ensures you are seen, heard and fully supported in making the changes that you desire to live the life you want to live.

Whether you are seeking the former or the latter, or a mixture of the two, I trust you will find all that I share, helpful and reassuring. I am here to help.

The Therapeutic Relationship

The relationship between therapist and client is totally different from any other relationship formed in life. It is not friendship and yet the therapist carefully holds your most personal, cherished and often hidden thoughts and feelings. It is not a personal relationship, yet it is deeply personal and there is a very real compassionate and loving connection.

It is formal, contractual and holds strict boundaries, yet reaches into the limitless space of your hopes, dreams, behaviours, and fears.

I ensure that our relationship is formed within a confidential, comfortable, and non-judgmental space. And I do everything to protect our relationship so that you can feel totally at ease, totally safe and totally able to commit to some life-changing work.

My Core Values

In order to achieve the very best for my clients and to ensure that the therapeutic relationship we forge is kept to its optimum potential, I have made a deep commitment to working within the values of:
